MODERNIZATION OF SIGNALLING SYSTEM-BANHA -PORT SAID Corridor

Project description : 

Developing the existing line Banha/Port Said, which operates with a mechanical interlocking system with a length of (214 km), and transforming it to an electronic control system (EIS) instead of the existing mechanical system, with the installation of a central control system (CTC) for the entire line in order to increase safety factors in the running of trains on the line.


Location: Banha / Port Said Railways

Owner: Egyptian National Railways- ENR.

Consultant: SYSTRA.

Main Contractor: Siemens 

Subcontractor: Hassan Allam Technologies.

Position: Senior Planning Engineer.

Scope: 

· Support the site team to manage the work flow.

· Maintain the timeline schedule to fit the changes in the projects.

· Provide resource allocation histogram to track the subcontractors and place them in the right location and time.

· Review the construction performance, prepare the weekly and monthly reports and provide recovery plans to maintain the project timeline and avoid any delays.

· Review all the delay events and change orders, and prepare a Claim using Time impact analysis (TIA) method asking for extension of Time and cost.

The Development of signaling systems on the Beni Suief /Asyut Railway line

Project description : 

Developing the current Beni Suef/Assiut line, which operates with  mechanical interlocking system, (250 km) long, and  migrating it to an electronic interlocking system (EIS) instead of the current mechanical system, as well as installing the centralized train control (CTC) for the whole line in order to increase the safety factors for the trains running on the line.  


Location: Beni Suef/Asyut Railway line

Owner: Egyptian National Railways- ENR.

Main Contractor: ALSTOM 

Organization / Subcontractor: Hassan Allam Technologies.

Position: Senior Planning Engineer.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • · Prepare a recovery plan for the project.
  • · Attend meeting with ALSTOM team to review the critical issues and discuss the updated schedule and the recovery plan for the project.
